Provides nursing care under a Registered Nurse and Clinician, including negative pressure wound therapy, compression therapy, post-debridement care, and charting in the electronic medical record. Requires Oregon LPN licensure and Healthcare Provider BLS; wound care certification and clinical experience preferred.
- JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- Provides safe and high-quality nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Clinician. Assists and performs advanced modalities such as negative pressure wound therapy, compression therapy and post-debridement care. Maintains an accurate patient electronic medical record, assists with non-invasive and invasive departmental procedures and associated care coordination.
- DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- Samaritan Wound Care treats acute or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow and/or other problems. The scope of practice is physician driven and centered around wound, ostomy and continence care while maintaining additional adjunctive therapies such as vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Current unencumbered Oregon Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure required.
- Healthcare Provider BLS required.
- Related certification in Wound Care preferred.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Wound Care experience preferred.
