Provides direct and indirect patient care in ICU/CCU for complex, high-risk patients. Requires an unencumbered Oregon RN license and BLS on hire; ACLS, PALS, TNCC/ATCN, and PACU experience may be required.
- JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- The Intensive Care Unit/Critical Care Unit support patients experiencing a variety of complex and high risk conditions and provides care through advanced knowledge and experience in a setting that provides intensive monitoring, assessments, and interventions.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire.
- AGH ICU-CCU:
- ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire.
- TNCC/ATCN required within six (6) months of hire.
- If responsible for floating to Post Anesthesia Care, PACU experience required.
- Previous ICU experience preferred.

Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers.
