Veteran Transport Specialist
Safely transport veterans and passengers with disabilities in a company-provided shuttle or sedan, with company vehicle and gas card, overtime opportunities, and health, dental, vision, term-life, disability, EAP, and 401(a) contributions. Requires a valid driver’s license, clean record, flexible shifts, and passing background, MVR, and drug screens.
We are working with a leading transportation company seeking a Veteran Transport Specialist to provide safe, reliable transportation for veterans and passengers with disabilities. The ideal candidate has a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work assigned shifts and days.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided shuttle or sedan while following all traffic laws.
- Transport passengers within the designated service area according to assigned schedules.
- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices.
- Properly secure wheelchairs, scooters, luggage, and other belongings.
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding schedule changes, incidents, medical or behavioral concerns, and vehicle issues.
- Complete required passenger and accident reports accurately.
- Provide courteous guidance to passengers and help maintain a safe, comfortable experience.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 75 lbs. from the floor.
- Push/pull up to 80 lbs. horizontally and on an incline.
- Exert up to 50 lbs. of force with a hand dynamometer.
- Climb steps, kneel, and reach the floor.
- Sit for extended periods of 2+ hours.
