Role Summary
FLUENT is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to assist and learn from our senior-level technicians. The Maintenance Technician will support the Maintenance team in performing a variety of maintenance and repair activities involving machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
This position will assist with routine, emergency, scheduled, and preventive maintenance throughout the facility to ensure the building and associated equipment remain safe, operational, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the Maintenance team with preventive maintenance, repairs, and other assigned tasks.

Monitor the proper operation and use of facility equipment and systems.

Inspect, repair, replace, and install equipment such as fans, dehumidifiers, railings, lights, drives, doors, ramps, and other facility components.

Properly document the start and completion of assigned tasks using Monday.com.

Assist with maintaining irrigation systems and troubleshooting basic electrical issues.

Properly use, maintain, and track power tools and mobile equipment.

Conduct daily visual inspections of the interior and exterior of the facility.

Perform basic plumbing repairs, including clogged sewer lines, urinals, commodes, faucets, and water valves.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Follow all health and safety standards, company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Complete laundry duties within established timelines.

Clean, sanitize, and maintain restrooms, common areas, and designated facility spaces.

Perform routine washing, cleaning, and sanitizing tasks according to established schedules and procedures.

Return cleaned and sanitized equipment and materials to the appropriate storage or work areas.

Perform required sanitation verification testing and document results when applicable.

Sweep and mop floors at established intervals to maintain clean and safe work areas.

Respond to emergency or unscheduled cleaning and sanitation needs as required.

Handle and dispose of waste products in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position operates in and around cultivation and manufacturing environments. The Maintenance Technician will routinely monitor and repair cultivation and processing equipment and may occasionally use office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position. The role requires frequent standing and walking, as well as the ability to maneuver up and down ladders and stairs.
The employee must be able to use their hands to handle tools and equipment and reach with their hands and arms. The position requires the ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds.
This position also requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and other physically demanding activities. Employees must be able to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods when required.
Position Type / Expected Hours
Work hours will be determined based on business needs. This position may require weekend and holiday work, as well as overtime when necessary to support company operations.
Travel
Travel is primarily local and may occur during the business day.
Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

A minimum of one year of maintenance or general repair experience is preferred; however, on-the-job training will be provided.

Must be at least 21 years of age, in accordance with applicable state law.

Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.

Must pass a drug screening.

Must have reliable transportation.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide proof of employment eligibility.
