Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Strategy Assistant Manager to support the Strategy Manager and Director throughout the product strategy and development process.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
The successful candidate will support product data management, reporting, competitive analysis, material management, product reviews, and various ad-hoc business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Line Management
- Maintain and update product catalogs to ensure information is accurate and current.
- Support technical line sheets for licensed products.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of product data within PLM systems.
- Assist with collection training tools and related product materials.
- Support product reviews and product development activities.
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Pull and organize information from various data systems, including monthly reports.
- Prepare accurate reports and presentations for upper management.
- Conduct product reviews and competitive market research.
- Perform competitive market deep dives and analyze relevant business data.
- Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis based on business needs.
- Analyze and interpret various data sets to identify relevant insights and support business decisions.
Material Management
- Assist with new material development activities.
- Organize and maintain product samples.
- Help maintain the accuracy and organization of material libraries.
- Prepare materials for product and strategy meetings.
- Place sketches on presentation boards and prepare color forms.
- Prepare prototype kick-off forms and other meeting materials.
- Print and organize materials required for meetings and presentations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising Management, Product Development, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in product development or a related product-focused environment.
- Previous experience with reporting, recruiting, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple platforms and business systems.
- Strong critical-thinking and analytical abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in clear, non-technical terms.
- Strong project and time-management skills.
