Laboratory Operations Coordinator

100% onsite for 40 hours/week with no overtime, coordinating service calls, inventory data, vendor escorts, procurement, chargebacks, and day-to-day lab operations.

Job Title: Laboratory Operations Coordinator
Location: 1250 South Collegeville Road, Collegeville, PA 19462
Duration: 5+ months (potential extension or permanent hire; covering maternity leave)
Pay Rate: $27.58/hour
Benefits: Weekly pay; Vision, Dental, Medical coverage
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week (No overtime)

Role Overview
The Technical Administrator works onsite at designated customer locations, coordinating client moves and providing high-touch support. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of the OneSource Program: initiating service calls, scheduling, overseeing inventory data integrity, vendor escorting, and supporting day-to-day laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Support:
    • Serve as the first point of non-technical and basic technical contact for customers via phone, email, portal, or other systems
    • Address inquiries, initiate and schedule service calls, and refer customers as needed
    • Expedite service requests with vendors and coordinate spot purchases
  • Service Management:
    • Monitor and process equipment service requests, confirm coverage and identify billable events
    • Schedule preventive maintenance, compliance activities, and follow up on service completion
    • Utilize SAP, Service Max, and customer records for accurate event documentation
    • Ensure timely and accurate data entry for service reports and account maintenance
  • Procurement & Vendor Coordination:
    • Create purchase requisitions for services from non-PerkinElmer suppliers
    • Manage documentation, approvals, delivery dates, and closure of POs
    • Support cost-saving and KPI objectives, conduct vendor satisfaction surveys
  • Chargeback & Reporting:
    • Run reports to identify chargeback events and complete billing processes
    • Escalate unresolved billing issues as needed
  • Communication & Relationship Management:
    • Build rapport with customers and service teams
    • Communicate program updates, troubleshoot professionally, and ensure issue closure
    • Escalate complex problems to management when necessary
  • Site-Specific Duties:
    • Escort service engineers, verify site safety compliance, coordinate equipment handoff
    • Ensure accurate service event closure and record management in both customer and PerkinElmer systems
 
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years in a similar technical/admin or customer service role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Veeva Vault
  • Bachelor’s or associate Degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organization and time management; effective both independently and in a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High customer commitment and proactive attitude
  • Experience in data entry, order management systems. SAP, Service Max, and Maximo experience is preferred
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in pharmaceuticals
  • Experience with GxP data review
