CONTROL YOUR OWN PAY
Point System
To work for Big M you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- 6+ Months of CDL-A Experience
- No more than 3 total violations within 3 years
- No more than 2 preventable accidents within 3 years
- No DUI within 5 years
It is the goal of the Big M team to assist each driver in reaching top driver pay of 52 cents per mile. Our new points system rewards our professional drivers for reaching and maintaining high standards of excellence. Drivers can be at top pay of 52 cents per mile within months of employment.
"Control Your Own Pay" allows you, the driver, to start work at Big M and be at top pay by the following May or November of employment. Points are given or deducted in the following areas: MPG, Max Drive Miles, Accidents, On-time Deliveries, and CSA Violations. Twice a year in November and May, each driver's points will be recalculated to determine the pay rate for the next six months.
Each driver will be contacted monthly by a Big M team member to keep you updated with the points total for the month, and to offer suggestions on how to improve your score.

Michael and Lisa Massengill, owners of Big M Transportation, Inc. have been married for over 30 years. They have three children, Whitney, Taylor, and Lawrence, and four grandchildren, Emersyn, Major, Mary Lisa, and Edwina. Michael is a second generation transportation expert. His father, Lawrence Massengill, founded Massengill Trucking in the late 1960's, and Michael has taken that heritage and expertise and used it to grow Big M Transportation into the award winning company it is today.
