About the Role
MCL Talent Partners is hiring Manager Trainees on behalf of a growing client in the Overland Park area. This is a full-time, client-facing starting role for motivated, coachable people who want a long-term career in benefits sales - not a short-term job.
You begin at the ground level with structured training, licensing support, classroom and field work, and ongoing mentorship. Our client promotes 100% from within; every manager started in this exact position. You will learn the business from the ground up with mentoring.
No prior insurance or industry experience is required. What is required is a strong work ethic, clear communication, and the desire to grow with one organization.
What You’ll Do
You will work directly with local business owners and their employees to educate them on voluntary benefit options, support enrollment meetings, and build ongoing client relationships. The role combines training with regular in-person client activity.
Core responsibilities:
- Meet with business owners and decision-makers to present voluntary benefit solutions
- Conduct or support employee enrollment meetings and answer questions
- Build and maintain professional relationships with client companies
- Manage your calendar, follow-ups, and client communication
- Complete training, coaching, licensing, and mentorship
- Represent the company professionally in the office and in the community
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable presenting information clearly in person
- Self-motivated, organized, and coachable
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for client meetings
- Customer service or sales experience is helpful but not required
- Licensing is required; full support is provided during onboarding

Compensation
- Performance-based with uncapped earning potential + performance bonuses
- Target first-year range: $49,200 – $89,800+, depending on performance
