Auto Glass Technician

Full-time work removing, repairing, and installing automotive glass. Offers weekly pay, health insurance, paid time off, paid vacation after 1 year, a company truck, tools, a tool loan program, and on-the-job training.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Glass Installer to join our team. The Auto Glass Installer will be responsible for removing, repairing, and installing windshields and other automotive glass components. This role requires precision, safety awareness, and strong customer service skills to ensure vehicles are restored to manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remove damaged windshields and auto glass using proper tools and techniques.
  • Install new windshields, side windows, rear windows, and other glass components.
  • Repair minor chips, cracks, and other glass damage when possible.
  • Apply primers, adhesives, and sealants in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Ensure proper alignment, sealing, and fit of all glass installations.
  • Inspect vehicles before and after installation to confirm quality and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining work performed and care instructions.
  • Keep accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent.
  • Operate company vehicles and tools responsibly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training is a plus).
  • Previous experience in auto glass installation or automotive repair preferred.
  • Knowledge of glass installation techniques, adhesives, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy glass with proper tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
