About the Role
MCL Talent Partners is recruiting on behalf of a local client expanding its Des Moines-area team. This entry-level position focuses on building relationships with local businesses, supporting client accounts, and helping employers and employees understand available voluntary benefit options.
No prior industry experience is required. The client provides structured training, one-on-one mentorship, licensing support, and ongoing professional development.
This opportunity may be a strong fit for candidates coming from customer service, hospitality, retail, administrative support, account services, or other people-focused backgrounds who want to move into a professional client-facing role.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain relationships with local business clients
- Meet with business owners and employees for account consultations
- Explain available voluntary workplace benefit options
- Support client onboarding, enrollment, and ongoing account needs
- Manage appointments, follow-up, and account activity using CRM tools
- Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable working directly with clients
- Coachable and able to manage follow-up independently
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable traveling locally for client appointments
- Willingness to complete required state licensing
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, account support, or sales can be helpful but is not required.

Compensation
- Commission-only compensation with uncapped earning potential + performance bonuses
Target First-Year Range: $48,000 - $91,000+. Depending on individual execution and production.
