Powertrain Engineer

Developing process plans for engine/transmission machining or assembly lines, leading installation and launch work, and managing schedules, budgets, and root-cause analysis. Requires a bachelor’s in engineering, 1-5 years’ experience, AutoCAD, and travel/overtime flexibility.

What you'll be doing:
  • Developing operating process plans to machine or assemble parts for assigned areas of the Powertrain department.
  • Leading, planning, procurement, installation, trial, and launching of engine/transmission machining or assembly lines.
  • Creating and maintaining schedule and budget for assigned areas.
  • Develop / improve standard tools and benchmarks.
  • Lead and participate in cross functional working groups across local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals
  • Visualize activity plans and schedules to facilitate quick consensus building to secure project priorities.
  • Analyze critical manufacturing issues and clearly communicate root cause and countermeasure plans to stakeholders.

Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves):
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mechanical, electrical and industrial manufacturing preferred.
  • 1-5 years of hands of experience in project/process management.
  • Experience in process engineering, including schedule and budget management
  • AutoCAD experience includes the ability to read, interpret and modify.
  • Willingness to work required overtime and travel as needed both domestic and international
  • Flexibility for business travel, both domestic and international, up to 20%
  • Ability to work weekend and shutdown work (such as July and December holidays) as needed.

Bonus if you have (Preferred):
  • 3D CAD experience including the ability to read and interpret.
