Position Summary:
Dee Zee, Inc. is seeking a Summer 2027 Industrial Engineering Intern to support projects that improve manufacturing efficiency, accuracy, and cost effectiveness. This internship will run approximately June 1 through September 3, 2027, with flexibility to adjust the start and end dates based on the selected candidate's availability.
This internship offers hands-on experience with Bills of Materials, labor variance analysis, plant layouts, and process improvements while working in a real-world manufacturing environment.

Accountabilities:
- Assist with the creation, review, and updates of Bills of Materials and routings.
- Support labor variance reporting and analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to process improvement projects that increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Help update and maintain plant layouts, work center data, and material flow documentation.
- Participate in the Change Order process, supporting documentation and execution.
- Provide support on special projects related to tooling, fixtures, and production support items.
- Assist with data mining and report development to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plant layouts, and process documentation.
- Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness and ability to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and variable temperatures.
