Pipe Stress Engineer

Piping design and stress analysis for industrial and process plants, including 3D modeling, pipe supports, deliverables, and code compliance. Requires a BS in Engineering or related field, 3+ years’ experience, and Caesar II/AutoCAD proficiency; health, dental, vision, 401(k), disability, and life/accident insurance offered.

Pipe Stress Engineer
  • Pipe Stress Engineer for piping design and stress analysis.
  • Design, analysis, and documentation of piping systems in industrial and process plants.
  • Responsible for 3D modeling, pipe stress analysis, support design, and generation of piping deliverables.
  • Perform pipe stress analysis using Caesar II to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME B31.1/B31.3).
  • Develop and manage 3D piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Design and detail pipe supports and ensure proper integration with structural elements.
  • Create and optimize piping layouts for process efficiency, safety, and maintainability.
  • Generate piping isometrics, general arrangement drawings, and support details.
  • Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and Material Take-Offs (MTO).
  • Coordinate with process, mechanical, and structural teams to ensure design consistency.
  • Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and constructability assessments.
  • BS in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in piping design and stress analysis.
  • Proficiency in Caesar II, AutoCAD. CADWorx or Plant 3D a plus .
  • Experience with piping materials, specifications, and fabrication practices.
  • Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API).
  • Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power plant projects preferred .
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, piping specs, and equipment layouts.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
