About the Role:

The 2027 Internship in Plumbing Engineering offers an immersive opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the design, analysis, and implementation of plumbing systems within various building projects. Interns will collaborate closely with experienced engineers to understand the complexities of water supply, drainage, and waste management systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role is designed to develop technical proficiency in plumbing engineering principles while fostering problem-solving and project management skills. Interns will contribute to real-world projects, assisting in drafting plans, conducting site inspections, and performing calculations to optimize system efficiency. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program such as Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on mechanical or plumbing engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing systems and engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in Revit or CAD software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous internship or project experience related to plumbing or mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with plumbing codes and standards such as IPC, UPC, or local regulations.
  • Knowledge of sustainable plumbing practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and drafting of plumbing systems for commercial buildings using Revit software.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and other engineers to coordinate plumbing system integration.
