Full-time, on-site summer internship visiting new vessels under construction and assisting with light field engineering work; PPE required daily. For freshmen or sophomores in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Naval Architecture, with U.S. work authorization.

Location: Rotating between Lockport, Morgan City, and Houma Locations
Position Overview: Bollinger is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Engineering Intern for a full-time, on-site summer internship at our Lockport, Morgan City, and Houma locations. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Naval Architecture who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional, real-world environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Report to Field Engineers or Project Engineers to visit new vessels under construction, in order to get an appreciation for the vessels, the skill set needed for field engineering, the construction process and assist with light duty field engineering work. This is a great opportunity to visit new vessels under construction.
- This role will require outside of office visits to the vessels.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required and worn daily in this role.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently a Freshman or Sophomore enrolled in an undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
