Overview
Youwill be involved in day-to-day current state study such as PMTS time study,multi moment study, spaghetti chart. You will contribute to the success of theteam through predetermined tasks based out of ongoing production performances -efficiency, productivity & any flow interrupters. You will be working witha wide range of departments and stakeholders to define new improvementprojects.
Your Tasks:
- Conduct time studies to analyze work patterns, develop optimized solutions, and document workflows as algorithms to accurately estimate labor hours for various processes.
- Gather data for method studies, including process layouts, step-by-step operations, material lists, and required manufacturing documentation.
- Perform motion studies and visually represent findings using spaghetti diagrams to identify inefficiencies.
- Execute multi-moment studies on production operations to assess current performance in terms of efficiency and productivity, particularly focusing on bottleneck areas.
- Provide support for key operational excellence initiatives and manufacturing processes through detailed documentation and analysis.
- Assist in continuous improvement projects by maintaining thorough documentation and contributing to risk assessments.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for Industrial Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, with hands-on involvement in time and motion studies and other current state assessments.
- Bachelor's/ Master's degree in industrial engineering (completed or in progress) is required.
- Proficient in PMTS (Predetermined Motion Time System) analysis and well-versed in maintaining strong documentation standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor is a plus.
