Local Truck Driver CDL B Route Delivery
Multiple-stop straight-truck deliveries with lift gate, touch freight, inside delivery, and customer service. Requires a valid Class B CDL with air brakes, current DOT medical card, 1 year or 40,000 miles local CDL B route delivery, and passing drug, background, and physical screens.
Job Responsibilities:
- Multiple-stop deliveries in straight truck with lift gate.
- Drive CDL trucks to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations.
- Touch freight, push/pull 300 pound cases of books up and down handicap ramps.
- Inside delivery into elementary school storage rooms and/or libraries.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.
- Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers.
- Excellent customer service skills: communication with customers and being the "face of the company".
- Outward and inward facing cameras, no audio
Requirements:
- 1 year and/or 40,000 miles local CDL B route delivery, experience with touch freight and/or food industry delivery is preferred.
- Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen.
- Hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License, with air brakes endorsement.
- Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses.
- Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors.
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
- Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical.
- Be able to push and/or pull up to 300 pounds with no assistance.
