Local Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery
Day cab and 53’ dry van local multi-stop delivery of hardware supplies with touch freight, loading/unloading by pallet jack, forklift, or hand cart. Requires age 21+, Class A CDL with air brakes, DOT medical card, 2 years experience, and ability to lift 65 lbs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive day cab with 53’ dry van trailer to transport to specific route destinations.
- Deliver hardware supplies using day cab and 53’ dry van.
- Driver loading and unloading using pallet jack, forklift and/or hand cart.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.
- Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License, with air brakes endorsement.
- Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical
- Minimum 2 years of CDL A tractor-trailer delivery experience.
- Hazmat preferred. Must be willing to obtain upon hire.
- Doubles endorsement and experience preferred. Or willing to obtain upon hire.
- Touch freight experience delivering local, multiple-stop freight using pallet jack and/or hand cart.
- Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses.
- Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors.
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
- Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
