Local Truck Driver CDL A Flatbed Driver
Delivers and unloads steel building supplies on local routes using flatbed Conestoga trailers with no tarping; drivers handle load securement and vehicle checks. Requires Class A CDL with air brakes, DOT medical card, age 21+, 2 years tractor-trailer and 1 year flatbed experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Delivering and unloading steel building supplies to steel shops/end users.
- Drive CDL trucks to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.
- Reporting maintenance/repair issues on trucks and/or equipment.
- Flatbed Conestoga trailers, NO TARPING REQUIRED. Drivers are responsible for load securement.
Requirements:
- Must be minimum of 21 years of age.
- Minimum of 2 years of CDL A tractor-trailer experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year flatbed/load securement experience required.
- Possess a Class A Commercial Driver’s License, with air brakes endorsement.
- Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical.
- Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses.
- Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors.
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
- Be able to lift, push, pull 50 pounds with no assistance.
