Local Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery
Day cab routes with 53' dry van freight, unloading with pallet jack and lift-gate, and vehicle checks/maintenance reporting. Requires Class A CDL with air brakes, 2 years CDL A experience, DOT medical card, and ability to lift 65 lbs; benefits after 30 days.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive day cab with 53' dry van trailer to transport to specific route destinations.
- Unload assist using pallet-jack, lift-gate.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.
- Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of CDL A experience.
- Drive automatic day cab with 53' dry van semi-trailer.
- Hazmat preferred. Must be willing to obtain upon hire.
- Experience delivering freight using pallet jack and/or hand cart.
- Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License, with air brakes endorsement
- Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses.
- Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors.
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
- Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
