Sr Network Engineer
Hybrid role with 1 day remote per week, focused on network infrastructure and telecommunications stability, issue resolution, and mentoring other network staff. Requires CCNA, 5 years enterprise network design/configuration/troubleshooting, Cisco routers/switches/Collaboration/VoIP, Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls, wireless, Wireshark, and Python or Ansible.
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the IT Infrastructure Supervisor the Senior Network Engineer (SNE) ensures the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the network infrastructure and telecommunications services. Applies proven analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate and resolve issues. Mentors and guides Network Engineers and Network Administrators regarding technical skills, documentation, analysis and communication standards to achieve a uniform response.
Position is hybrid, working 1 day remote per week. Must reside local to MO/KS.
EXPERIENCE: Five years experience designing, configuring and troubleshooting enterprise network systems. Five years experience managing Cisco routers, switches and managing Cisco Collaboration and VoIP systems. Four years experience managing Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls, as well as managing and troubleshooting Wireless networks.
SPECIAL SKILLS:Packet capture analysis and troubleshooting with Wireshark. Network Automation with scripting languages or automation frameworks - Python, Ansible.
LICENSE/CERT: Required: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) Preferred: ASE (Architecture Systems Engineer ), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), HP AIS (Accredited Integration Specialist)
EDUCATION: Preferred: Bachelors - Information Technology
