Provides medical nutrition therapy, including nutritional assessments, supplements or nutrition support needs, and nutrition education. Requires a Missouri Dietitian license; a master’s in Dietetics or Nutrition is required for eligibility on or after Jan. 1, 2024.
SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Coordinator, Clinical Nutrition provides medical nutrition therapy for patients to help achieve adequate nutritional status. This may include, but is not limited to, nutritional assessments to determine need for nutritional supplements or nutrition support and nutrition education to help achieve lifestyle changes/diet modifications. The Dietitian is also accountable for completing other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
EXPERIENCE: Prefer 2-3 years of experience in hospital medical nutrition therapy and/or outpatient medical nutrition therapy.
LICENSE/CERT: Required: Dietitian - State of Missouri
EDUCATION:
- Required: Masters - Dietetics, Masters - Nutrition. A master's degree is required for those establishing eligibility on or after January 1, 2024.
- A bachelor's degree is acceptable for registered dietitians and individuals who established CDR exam eligibility on or before December 31, 2023.
