Provides respiratory care across critical care, NICU, emergency, and general floor units, with possible pulmonary function testing and bronchoscopies. Requires an associate degree, current RRT, BLS, and RT license; 1 year preferred.
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the department director and guidance of the supervisor, administers all Respiratory Care modalities as ordered by physicians. Primary areas assigned are critical care areas, NICU, emergency department and general floor units. Other functions may include pulmonary function testing and bronchoscopies. Performs bedside pulmonary function testing. Acts as charge therapist when needed. Able to deliver all respiratory modalities offered by the respiratory department. Able to become a preceptor for students and new respiratory staff.
EXPERIENCE: One year preferred
OTHER: Current RRT from the NBRC
LICENSE/CERT: Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), RT (Respiratory Therapist)
EDUCATION: Required: Associates - Respiratory Therapy
