Medical Laboratory Scientist
Performs waived, low-, moderate-, and high-complexity laboratory testing and handles pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical stages under a clinical supervisor. Requires a related bachelor’s degree and CLS, MLS, or MT certification.
SUMMARY: Under the supervision of a clinical supervisor, provides laboratory services by performing laboratory testing of any level (high, moderate or low complexity) as well as waived tests. Assumes responsibility for all stages of laboratory service (pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical) as well as instruction of laboratory medicine.
