SUMMARY: North Kansas City Hospital�s 40-bed Oncology-Hematology, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical unit is the perfect place to grow your career. Our unit is Kansas City�s first to implement Aquablation, performing over 500 procedures and now training other hospitals in this cutting-edge technique. We are also home to a nationally recognized oncology program with a Commission on Cancer certification that underscores our commitment to excellence in care.In our unit, you'll be part of a team that values both professional and personal growth. Nurses here gain exposure to a wide range of procedures, from central lines, ports, and chemotherapy to advanced urology and surgical interventions. We foster a highly collaborative environment with on-staff hospitalists, consultants, and a skilled support team including RT, wound care, and pharmacy.Our nurses are EKG- and ACLS-trained, with support to become Oncology Certified Nurses.SUMMARY:Under the direction of the department director/charge nurse, patients and families are provided competent holistic care based on the nursing process.
EXPERIENCE: One year medical surgical nursing/oncology nursing preferred
