We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Facilities Cleaning & Sanitation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized environment within a regulated facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the facility, including offices, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, wipe down surfaces, and remove trash and waste.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break areas, high-traffic areas, and common spaces.
• Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of offices, hallways, and designated facility areas.
• Clean and maintain floors, doors, windows, fixtures, furniture, and other surfaces as assigned.
• Refill restroom, cleaning, and sanitation supplies as needed.
• Follow established cleaning schedules, procedures, and sanitation standards.
• Properly use, handle, and store cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies in accordance with company safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness in designated areas surrounding cultivation and production operations while following all facility access and sanitation requirements.
• Follow all company policies and applicable safety, sanitation, security, and cannabis industry compliance procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, damage, spills, safety hazards, or other concerns to the Facilities Manager or appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a professional and respectful working relationship with employees and visitors.
• Assist with additional facility cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Previous janitorial, custodial, commercial cleaning, or facility maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to consistently complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established cleaning procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high cleaning and sanitation standards.
• Previous experience working in a regulated, manufacturing, healthcare, food service, or production environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of GPP/GMP (Good Production Practices/Good Manufacturing Practices) is a plus.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Flexible schedule and availability to work Monday–Sunday, including on-call needs when required.
• Willingness to travel to other Sanctuary Medicinals locations within Florida if needed.
• Must be able to pass a Level 2 background check (FBI) and meet all applicable requirements for working at a licensed cannabis facility.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive cleaning tasks, including bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting.
• Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying facility conditions, including areas with temperature and humidity changes.
• Must follow all facility security, sanitation, safety, and access-control procedures.
