  • Troubleshoot control, instrument and communication faults, providing timely root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Prepare, review and maintain operating manuals, control narratives, system architecture diagrams and as-built documentation.
  • Support commissioning and start-up activities, working closely with project teams and operations to ensure safe handover.
  • Implement and support Local Shutdown/System (LSS) logic and ensure reliable interlocks and safety instrumented functions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes and client specifications and participate in safety reviews (HAZOP, SIL assessments where applicable).
  • Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams on control systems and life-saving equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Instrumentation or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 4-6 years experience in controls engineering, with hands-on PLC programming and SCADA implementation experience.
  • Proven experience with major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider) and SCADA/HMI packages (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC).
  • Experience integrating fire and gas detection systems and associated shutdown/interlock logic.
  • Strong troubleshooting and testing skills, including FAT/SAT execution and commissioning experience.
  • Experience with LSS / safety shutdown logic, safety standards and working knowledge of SIL principles desirable.
  • Ability to produce clear operating manuals, control narratives, wiring and loop diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with life-saving equipment requirements and providing training/maintenance support; certifications in first aid, rescue or ERT are a plus.
