Position Overview
A growing manufacturing company we're partnered with is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to lead procurement activities for electro-mechanical components and support strategic supply chain initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with strong purchasing expertise, MRP/ERP experience, and a proven track record of supplier management and cost reduction
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing activities and issue purchase orders
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, and on-time delivery
- Negotiate pricing and procurement strategies to reduce costs
- Maintain inventory levels while supporting production needs
- Resolve supplier issues and drive corrective actions
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other internal teams
- Support sourcing of alternate suppliers and mitigate supply chain risks
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of procurement or buyer experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and procurement best practices
- Experience with supplier negotiations, inventory management, and cost savings initiatives
- Familiarity with quality standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001 preferred
Bonus/Nice to Have
- CPM / CPIM
- Experience in similar role dealing with Electromechanical or Electrical Products
- Aerospace Manufacturing Procurement experience
