Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Loudon, TN 37774
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 DOE

We're seeking a Design Engineer to develop and improve our next generation of commercial vehicles. In this role, you'll use Siemens NX to create and modify vehicle designs, collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers, and support projects from concept through production.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Design and develop vehicle components and systems using Siemens NX (Unigraphics), creating detailed models and drawings that meet customer and engineering requirements.
  • Support new product development by modifying existing designs, integrating new technologies, and assisting with prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.
  • Perform design analysis and simulations to ensure products are safe, manufacturable, reliable, and cost-effective.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sales, and customers to improve product performance, meet specifications, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain engineering documentation, support process improvement efforts, and uphold company quality and safety standards.

What You Need for This Position

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 2+ years of automotive OEM, truck body, or RV industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX/Unigraphics, including surface modeling, composite tooling design, and 3D solid modeling.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently; proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
