Position Overview
A growing commercial construction company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This individual will assist with project documentation, subcontractor coordination, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and client communication while helping ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Qualifications
- 1-5 years of construction project management, project engineering, or related experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and project coordination
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with daily project operations
- Manage and track RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and engineers
- Assist with project scheduling and progress tracking
- Support procurement and material buyout activities
