Production Planner - ERP, Manufacturing
Based in Woburn, MA, we are an industry leader manufacturing advanced thermal management solutions for aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical, and other highly regulated industries.
We're seeking a Production Planner with experience in manufacturing planning, ERP systems, and supply chain coordination to support on-time customer delivery and efficient production operations. This role will work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Customer Service, and Quality teams to balance customer demand, material availability, and production capacity.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand, inventory requirements, and manufacturing capacity
- Analyze sales orders, forecasts, inventory levels, and material availability to create achievable production plans
- Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure raw materials, components, and critical parts are available to support production schedules
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address material shortages, equipment downtime, engineering changes, and customer priorities
- Collaborate with Manufacturing leadership to balance workloads, improve resource utilization, and maximize throughput
- Maintain accurate planning and scheduling data within ERP and MRP systems
- Participate in Sales and Operations Planning activities and production review meetings
- Support inventory control initiatives while balancing customer service and operational efficiency
- Generate planning reports and KPIs related to schedule attainment, inventory accuracy, capacity utilization, and on-time delivery
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean manufacturing, waste reduction, and process optimization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
- Experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, supply chain, materials planning, or operations coordination
- Experience working with ERP and MRP systems in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning, and material requirements planning
- Ability to analyze forecasts, production demands, inventory levels, and operational constraints
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and manufacturing reporting tools
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, electronics, or engineered product environments preferred
