Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead and grow our engineering organization. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and strategic oversight to support the development and delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure software products. You will partner with executive leadership to establish engineering priorities, build high-performing teams, drive execution, and help shape the long-term technical direction of the company.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with company goals and product vision.
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering managers and technical teams while fostering a strong engineering culture.
- Drive execution across engineering initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time and with high quality.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Operations, and Leadership teams to prioritize work and deliver business impact.
- Oversee technical architecture and guide decisions around scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
- Establish and maintain engineering best practices, development processes, and operational standards.
- Build and scale engineering teams through hiring, coaching, and career development.
- Manage resource planning, team capacity, budgets, and organizational growth.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through metrics, feedback, and process optimization.
- Ensure teams maintain high standards for system reliability, security, and operational excellence.
- Communicate engineering priorities, progress, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership.
- Support cross-functional planning and drive alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with leadership experience managing engineering teams and technical projects.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and scale engineering organizations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, system architecture, cloud technologies, and modern engineering practices.
- Experience managing engineering roadmaps, delivery timelines, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated success recruiting, developing, and retaining top engineering talent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution.
- Experience working in a startup, growth-stage, or rapidly evolving environment preferred.
- Technical background that enables effective participation in architecture, product, and engineering discussions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
