Pay: $140,000 - $175,000 -- Plus 8%-15% Bonus

As our Survey Department Head, you'll step into a key leadership position with the opportunity to expand and shape our growing Geomatics practice throughout the Southeast. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Survey Department Manager or a strong PLS Project Manager looking to take the next step into department leadership.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead and grow the Georgia-based Survey/Geomatics practice
- Manage & Grow a team of approximately 6 survey professionals, including field and office staff
- Oversee survey operations, staffing, workflows, schedules, budgets, and project execution
- Review, certify, and seal survey deliverables as the Georgia Professional Land Surveyor of record
- Prepare and review proposals, scopes, and project budgets
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, aviation, and land development teams
- Mentor junior staff and help build the department as new opportunities arise
- Drive operational excellence while identifying opportunities for practice growth
- Support client relationships and participate in business development efforts
- Manage projects involving boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction staking, utility, and infrastructure surveys
What You Need For This Job
- Active Georgia Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license (Required)
- 5+ years of land surveying experience
- Previous leadership experience managing survey personnel, crews, technicians, or projects
- Strong understanding of boundary, topographic, construction staking, and ALTA surveys
- Experience reviewing and sealing survey deliverables
- Project management and client-facing experience
- Ability to oversee operations and guide a growing survey department
- Civil 3D experience
