Compensation: $160K-$190K + benefits
We're partnering with a cutting-edge engineering organization developing next-generation AR/VR and connected technology products. We're seeking an experienced Audio Systems Integration Engineer to help design, test, and optimize audio, acoustics, vibration, and noise-control systems for advanced consumer hardware products.
What You'll Do
- Design and prototype audio subsystems for AR/VR devices
- Analyze acoustic, vibration, and noise-control performance through testing, measurement, and data analysis
- Collaborate with hardware, software, manufacturing, and supplier teams to bring products from development through production
- Conduct audio quality evaluations and critical listening assessments
- Support development hardware bring-up and audio validation efforts
- Manage multiple technical workstreams and drive projects to completion
What We're Looking For
- MS or advanced degree in Acoustics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Strong foundation in acoustics, audio systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and psychoacoustics
- Experience with acoustic testing and measurement tools
- Proficiency with MATLAB and/or Python
- Experience using Audio Precision, SoundCheck, DAWs, or similar audio validation platforms
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Ideal Background
- Consumer electronics, wearables, headphones, smart devices, AR/VR, gaming hardware, or related audio products
- Experience working across hardware, software, and manufacturing teams
- Strong hands-on testing and audio quality evaluation experience
