Position Overview
Senior Superintendent responsible for overseeing large-scale industrial and manufacturing construction projects, including semiconductor fabs, data centers, cold storage, and hyperscale facilities. This role ensures safe, on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining high quality and compliance standards. The Sr. Superintendent will lead field teams, coordinate subcontractors, manage installation sequencing, and interface with clients and design teams. Travel to job sites is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage all field construction activities across industrial and manufacturing projects including semiconductor, data center, cold storage, and hyperscale facilities.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of craft personnel, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure productive, safe, and quality work execution.
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedule sequencing, phasing, and look-ahead plans in coordination with project managers and trade partners.
  • Enforce rigorous safety protocols and participate in safety planning, hazard identification, and corrective action implementation.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, and design teams to resolve field issues, RFIs, and change orders while protecting project budget and schedule.
  • Manage installation and commissioning activities for critical systems such as cleanrooms, process utilities, HVAC, electrical distribution, and refrigerated storage systems.
  • Monitor quality control processes, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Track manpower, productivity, and field costs; provide regular progress reports and input for forecasting and recovery plans.
  • Mentor and develop site leadership, promote best practices, and ensure consistent implementation of company construction standards.
  • Facilitate coordination with logistics, procurement, and commissioning teams to support material flow and startup readiness.
  • Support pre-construction planning, site mobilization, and turnover activities, including closeout documentation and punchlist completion.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of field construction experience with progressive superintendent or senior superintendent roles on industrial and manufacturing projects.
  • Proven experience on semiconductor fabs, data centers, cold storage, or hyperscale facility construction preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and installation of mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi-trade crews and subcontractors in a high-consequence environment.
  • Excellent schedule management skills with experience using CPM scheduling, look-ahead planning, and productivity tracking tools.
  • Committed to safety with OSHA certifications (OSHA 30) and a track record of leading safe construction sites; site-specific safety certifications a plus.
  • Effective communicator with strong leadership, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency with construction documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders) and familiarity with BIM, Procore, or similar construction management software.
  • Ability to travel regularly to project sites; willing to accept extended site assignments as required.
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to obtain site-specific access credentials and clearances.
