Account Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an Account Manager with 2+yrs working knowledge of aluminum products to drive revenue growth, retain key customers, and act as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of inside sales or account management experience in the metals industry.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of aluminum products, alloys, and applications; ability to discuss specifications and manufacturing tolerances with customers and internal teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Comfortable collaborating across functions (engineering, production, logistics) to solve customer problems and manage complex orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and building long-term relationships to maximize account retention and growth.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and production teams to ensure accurate specification interpretation, on-time delivery, and resolution of technical or quality issues related to precision manufacturing.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, tracking orders, coordinating logistics, and proactively communicating status and potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales pipeline, and forecasts in the CRM system; generate regular reports for management.
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across aluminum and other metal product lines (including steel where applicable) and coordinate with internal teams to capture those opportunities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on sales processes, quoting accuracy, and customer experience.
