An established and growing mid-sized law firm based in New York, New York, with over 50 years in practice, is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with 7+ years of experience to join its Commercial Litigation Group in a hybrid capacity.
This role is ideal for an experienced litigator who can independently manage files from inception through resolution and confidently handle complex commercial disputes, business litigation, contract disputes, court proceedings, depositions, and related litigation matters.

Qualifications
- 7+ years of substantive commercial litigation experience
- Admission to the New York State Bar and good standing
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation files from inception through resolution
- Substantial courtroom experience, including appearances, conferences, hearings, and motion practice
- Strong deposition experience, including preparing witnesses and taking and defending depositions
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills
- Sound judgment and the ability to develop practical litigation strategies for sophisticated clients
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active matters and deadlines
- Portable book of business is not required
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial litigation matters independently from initial case assessment through final resolution
- Develop case strategy and advise clients regarding risks, objectives, and potential outcomes
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery demands, responses, and other litigation documents
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
- Appear in court for conferences, hearings, oral arguments, and other proceedings
- Conduct written discovery, oversee document production, and resolve discovery disputes
- Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial
- Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings
- Collaborate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients while maintaining primary responsibility for assigned matters
- Maintain responsive client communication and provide clear, practical, and business-focused legal advice
