What you'll do
Lead end-to-end forensic accounting investigations into suspected fraud, financial misconduct, and economic loss, delivering thorough and legally defensible results on time and within budget.
Deliver clear, well-documented expert reports, affidavits, and demonstrative exhibits suitable for litigation, arbitration, and regulatory submissions; participate in depositions and trial testimony as needed.
Serve as the primary point of contact for legal counsel, insurers, and clients - coordinating evidence collection, interviews, and document review from kickoff through resolution.
Design and execute investigation plans encompassing data analysis, transaction testing, asset tracing, and financial statement reconstruction using forensic technology and e-discovery tools.
Apply data analytics platforms (IDEA, ACL, SQL, Python/R, Excel) to identify anomalies, trace funds, and quantify losses across large and complex datasets.
Supervise, mentor, and quality-review a team of forensic accountants and analysts, maintaining professional standards across all work product.
Advise clients on remediation plans and internal control enhancements to address root causes identified during investigations.
What you need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience leading complex forensic accounting and litigation support engagements, including production of expert reports.
Proven ability to present findings clearly to attorneys, clients, and in court or arbitration settings (deposition and/or trial testimony experience required).
Proficiency with forensic and data analytics tools - IDEA, ACL, SQL, Python/R, and advanced Excel modeling.
Supervisory or project management experience, including staffing, budgeting, and quality control.
Nice to have
CPA certification or specialized forensic credential (CFE, CFF, or equivalent).
Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience with business interruption analysis and quantification.
Litigation support practice experience (insurance disputes, regulatory inquiries).
