Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm & Security Technician to join our healthcare division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire alarm systems and security solutions in healthcare and commercial settings. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients' facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure fire alarm systems and security equipment according to industry standards.
- Perform regular inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fire alarm and security systems promptly.
- Provide maintenance and repair services for existing systems to enhance performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on fire and security solutions.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and service activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and on-call shifts, as needed
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role in the fire protection and security industry.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, installation procedures, and relevant NFPA regulations.
- Familiarity with access control systems and their integration with fire alarm solutions.
- Experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with clients and team members.
- NICET certification in fire alarm systems is highly preferred.
