We are seeking an experienced Chemical Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations at our growing/expanding production facility in area near Stamps/Magnolia, AR,  someone with a continuous improvement mindset, working to identify and then implement process improvements at all levels, through process optimization, continuous improvement, and project execution. 

This role will focus on improving production performance, supporting process reliability, and leading engineering initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

There is a lot of new facility CAPEX expansion happening, with new processes, being installed, new equipment, new production being planned, so being comfortable with Planning, project management, any NEW INSTALLATION/NEW PLANNING process optimization experience, is a HUGE PLUS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Out of the gate, you will direct efforts/lead projects by building team and an executable scope or works, building a solid cost model (OPEX and CAPEX), acquire equipment, write procedures and test plans, conduct start up and turn over the finished new or modified process to Operation's management team.
  • Develop, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, product quality, and overall plant performance.
  • Analyze process data, conduct engineering calculations, and identify opportunities for cost reduction, yield improvement, and waste minimization.
  • Troubleshoot process and production issues while providing technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation, operating procedures, and engineering standards.
  • Lead or participate in process safety reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, support new product or process introductions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support capital projects by defining process requirements, evaluating equipment solutions, and assisting with startup and commissioning activities.
  • Track key performance metrics and lead projects focused on productivity, reliability, safety, and environmental performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 7 or more years of process engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with/comfort developing PFD and P&ID. 
  • Experience with/comfort using CAD programs to build or modify line drawings.
  • Experience with/comfort performing complex chemical engineering calculations 
  • Experience with process safety management programs is preferred, including an understanding of the 14 elements of PSM and their practical implementation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, along with similar communication/documentation skills.
  • Experience leading process improvement and capital project initiatives.
  • Ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, maintenance, and leadership teams.
