About the Opportunity

We are an award-winning, nationally recognized construction management firm with a strong track record across healthcare, commercial, multi-family, hospitality, and other large-scale general contracting project types. We are consistently ranked among the top construction companies in the country and have built our reputation by delivering complex, high-profile projects on time and on budget. Our culture is built around high performance, collaboration, and a genuine investment in our people -- from robust benefits to structured mentorship and continuing education opportunities.

We are expanding our Preconstruction and Estimating team in Nashville and are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Estimator who is ready to take ownership of critical pursuits and help us win more work in this growing market.

The Role

This is a high-impact estimating role embedded within our Preconstruction team. You will lead and manage the full estimating lifecycle on multiple simultaneous projects -- spanning healthcare, commercial, multi-family, hospitality, and other large-scale GC work -- from early conceptual budgets through final bid delivery. You will work closely with operations, project managers, subcontractors, and clients throughout the process and serve as a key player in shaping how we approach each pursuit strategically.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

-        Manage the full estimating process from initial review through final bid submission across multiple concurrent projects

-        Assemble conceptual budgets and updated cost projections at various stages of design progression

-        Lead bid strategy sessions with the internal team to develop a competitive and winning approach for each pricing exercise

-        Thoroughly review bid documents to understand project scope, identify constructability issues, flag conflicting or missing information, and determine trade coverage needs

-        Coordinate and manage the RFI process between the firm, subcontractors, design teams, and clients

-        Build and maintain relationships with the subcontractor community -- generating interest, confirming bid coverage, and facilitating information exchange

-        Develop scope checklists, level subcontractor bids, and manage bid revisions to ensure accurate and complete coverage

-        Build comprehensive estimates capturing all project costs and assemble polished, client-ready bid deliverables

-        Participate in owner presentations and review meetings, representing the estimating function professionally

-        Collaborate with operations to define project schedules, staffing plans, and site logistics requirements

-        Lead the subcontract negotiation and award process following a successful bid

-        Transition project documentation and information to the operations team, ensuring a clean handoff to the project manager

-        Mentor and guide junior estimators on larger, more complex project pursuits

Required Skills and Qualifications

-        5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in construction estimating across healthcare, commercial, multi-family, hospitality, or other large GC project types

-        Demonstrated ability to produce complete and accurate estimates across a range of project types and delivery methods

-        Solid understanding of all major bid process types, contract structures, and negotiation strategies

-        Proven ability to build conceptual budgets at early design stages with limited information

-        Strong constructability review skills -- able to identify and mitigate project risk in alignment with bid strategy

-        Experience managing and mentoring other estimators or leading group estimating exercises

-        Outstanding communication skills -- able to translate complex construction concepts clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences

-        Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-moving environment

-        Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, ProEst, and On Screen Take-off

-        Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field

-        Strong personal integrity, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine passion for the construction industry

Why This Role Stands Out

-        Join a nationally ranked firm with a deep bench of complex, high-profile projects across multiple sectors

-        Work within a high-energy, collaborative culture where top performers are recognized and rewarded

-        Competitive base salary ($110,000 - $140,000) plus a performance-based bonus program

-        Exceptional benefits including top-tier medical, 401(k) with 100% match up to 6% plus up to 4%       discretionary profit sharing, wellness reimbursement, and generous PTO
