Associate Attorney - Enviromental - Permitting and Compliance

OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Law Associate to join our Environmental Group in Princeton. This role offers the opportunity to advise clients across industries on complex regulatory matters, represent clients before major regulatory agencies, and contribute to the continued growth of a well-established environmental practice.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Advise clients on environmental permitting and regulatory compliance at the federal, state, and local levels
    Represent clients before the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and U.S. Army Corps of       Engineers
    Counsel clients on site remediation, brownfield redevelopment, and land use matters
    Provide environmental support in transactional matters including due diligence and risk assessment
    Assist with or lead environmental litigation and enforcement matters
    Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop practical, business-oriented solutions
 

QUALIFICATIONS
    Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
    Admission to the New Jersey Bar required; New York Bar admission a plus
    Minimum of 6 years of experience in environmental law with a focus on permitting and compliance
    Demonstrated experience with site remediation, brownfields, and environmental due diligence
    Experience representing clients before NJDEP, EPA, and/or the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
    Strong knowledge of environmental regulatory frameworks related to air, water, and waste
    Litigation experience in environmental matters a plus
    Prior experience in the Office of the Attorney General and/or judicial clerkship preferred
