Location: Winter Park, FL (Greater Orlando Area)
Compensation: $110,000 to $150,000+ Base Salary (Experience Dependent)

Our client is a well-established civil construction contractor serving Central Florida. The company specializes in site development, excavation, grading, underground utilities, concrete construction, paving, and infrastructure improvement projects. Known for quality workmanship and strong client relationships, the organization partners with developers, municipalities, general contractors, and private owners throughout the region.
Due to continued growth, the company is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations and ensure the successful delivery of site development and heavy civil construction projects. This individual will be responsible for coordinating crews, subcontractors, equipment, and project activities while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily field operations for civil construction and site development projects
- Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and equipment resources
- Coordinate excavation, grading, utility installation, concrete, and paving activities
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications
- Maintain project schedules and identify solutions to prevent delays
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Conduct jobsite inspections and quality control reviews
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and workforce planning
- Lead safety meetings and enforce safety standards
- Communicate project progress with project managers and company leadership
- Maintain daily reports and project documentation
- Resolve field issues and unforeseen project challenges
- Support project closeout activities and final inspections
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Superintendent experience in civil construction, site development, or heavy civil construction
- Experience managing earthwork, excavation, grading, and underground utility projects
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
- Experience managing subcontractors and field personnel
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and industry best practices
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to maintain schedules and coordinate multiple project activities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Experience
- Site development construction experience
- Underground utility experience including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water systems
- Roadway and paving project experience
- Municipal and commercial development project experience
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience managing large scale civil construction projects
