Salary: $100K-$125K + bonus potential
Position Overview A well-established, full-service law firm in South Bend, Indiana is seeking an experienced Wills, Trusts & Estates Attorney to join its growing practice. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality legal services, building long-term client relationships, and contributing to a collaborative team environment. The attorney will handle a broad range of estate-planning and probate matters, including drafting wills and trusts, advising on estate and gift tax strategies, administering estates, and guiding clients through complex family and financial situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide counsel on estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced directives
- Draft and review estate-planning documents tailored to client needs
- Represent clients in probate and trust-administration matters
- Advise on tax-efficient wealth-transfer strategies
- Work with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to support client goals
- Maintain strong client communication and long-term relationships
- Participate in business-development activities as desired
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar in good standing
- Licensed to practice in Indiana
- 3+ years of experience in wills and trusts, estate planning, or probate
- Ability to hit the ground running
- Can bring their own book of business with them (preferred)
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and client-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
