Senior Associate, Labor & Employment
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Associate in our Labor & Employment practice to provide high-quality legal counsel and representation to employers and clients on workplace compliance, policy development, and dispute resolution. This role will focus on counseling clients on labor and employment matters, managing case work, and contributing to business development. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in labor and employment law and familiarity with litigation and workplace leave and accommodation laws.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience practicing labor and employment law, with demonstrated client counseling and litigation exposure.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state labor and employment statutes, regulations, and best practices; must have substantive Labor and Employment experience.
- Experience with litigation procedures, including drafting motions and attending hearings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with FMLA, PWFA, FLSA, and ADA compliance and accommodation processes is a strong plus.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong client-facing and business development skills.
- Experience supervising junior attorneys and paralegals and contributing to a collaborative practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise employers and clients on a broad range of labor and employment matters, including workplace policies, compliance, discipline, and investigations.
- Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, policies, employment agreements, and client correspondence related to labor and employment law.
- Manage litigation and pre-litigation matters when necessary, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and attending hearings and depositions (nice to have).
- Counsel clients on leave and accommodation issues, including FMLA, PWFA, ADA, and related federal and state leave laws (nice to have).
- Provide guidance on wage-and-hour compliance, including FLSA matters, classification, and wage claims (nice to have).
- Develop and deliver client training sessions and written materials on employment law developments and best practices.
- Collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams on case strategy, business development, and client management.
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior associates and paralegals to ensure high-quality legal services and professional development.
