Senior Tax Manager
Senior High Net Worth Tax Manager
A premier accounting and consulting firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior High Net Worth Tax Manager to join its elite Family Wealth Services practice group. In this critical leadership role, you will lead a private client tax advisory division, managing comprehensive tax compliance and wealth preservation strategies for high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational families, and closely held family partnerships. You will act as a primary technical advisor on complex federal, state, and local tax issues while driving productivity across the private client tax department. This position directly shapes the long-term fiscal health and financial preservation of premier clientele.
As an expert in the field, you will spearhead private client tax compliance and partnership tax filings. You will take ownership of the preparation, technical review, and timely submission of all individual, trust, gift, estate, and foundation tax documentation. Beyond basic compliance, you will identify proactive tax planning and quarterly consulting opportunities to minimize tax liabilities, optimize cash flow, and manage complex wealth transfer structures. Collaboration is central to this role; you will partner with cross-functional wealth managers, estate attorneys, and investment advisors to integrate accurate tax treatments into daily asset management transactions.
A vital part of your responsibility will involve customer relationship management and team leadership. You will actively communicate the progress of engagements, manage billing and collections, and develop a strong business referral network to attract new customers. Additionally, you will supervise, mentor, and train junior tax staff, fostering a highly collaborative culture of engagement, inclusion, and accountability. You will also manage complex tax research, resolving challenging IRS audits or individual inquiries with definitive, data-backed recommendations.
