Sr. Project Manager - Millwork

Location: Western Suffolk County, Long Island, NY (On-site 5 days/week)

Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000k DOE

About Us

For over 40 years, we have been a premier live experience and custom fabrication agency, turning complex architectural concepts into physical reality. We don't build buildings-we build the custom environments that go inside them. From luxury retail flagships to high-end architectural interiors, our team brings exceptional craftsmanship, design, and project management to life from our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager dedicated to our Architectural Interiors division. This is a hands-on, office-and-shop-based role located inside our Long Island manufacturing facility. You will own custom architectural millwork and interior projects from drawing approval through final installation, working shoulder-to-shoulder with our internal estimators, drafting team, and shop fabricators.

If you are a high-grit, operationally focused PM who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to drive multi-million-dollar custom builds across the finish line without hand-holding, we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Ownership: Manage assigned architectural interior projects (typically 2 to 5 concurrent builds valued between $3M and $12M) from drawing approval to final closeout

  • Value Engineering & Takeoffs: Partner with internal estimators during early project phases to review construction documents, perform material takeoffs, and execute value engineering

  • Shop Production Coordination: Work daily on-site alongside our fabrication supervisors to monitor production progress, manage long-lead material procurement, resolve manufacturing bottlenecks, and keep builds on schedule.

  • Technical Oversight & Drafting Support: Independently read construction drawings and utilize Bluebeam and AutoCAD (2D/3D) for quick redlines and tight-deadline adjustments (supported by a dedicated drafting team and administrative support for heavy paperwork).

  • Logistics & Installation Management: Coordinate shipping, freight logistics, site readiness, field labor, sub-contracted installers, and final punch lists.

  • Risk & Budget Management: Maintain rigorous project organization via Smartsheet or similar tools, track procurement schedules, and proactively raise your hand early when project risks arise.

What We're Looking For (Required Qualifications)

  • Experience: 5+ years managing custom architectural millwork, retail fixtures, or interior fit-outs within a manufacturing or subcontractor environment

  • Technical Skills: Fluent in construction drawings, material takeoffs, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, and AutoCAD

  • Culture & Grit: High-intensity, thick-skinned, and ownership-driven; built to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Logistics: Local to Long Island or able to make a sustainable commute and available for up to 10% domestic travel

Benefits

  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Vision insurance
