The Patient Safety Assistant is responsible for providing direct supervision and companionship to patients as a safety measure to prevent suicidal, behavioral, and medical patients from harming themselves.

- Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and an assigned patient.
- Must demonstrate a calm, pleasant demeanor.
REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
- PREFERRED CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT, PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN, OR RELATED HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE
- BLS
- CPI TRAINED
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 1 year acute hospital /healthcare setting experience.
- Must be able to complete training module prior to first assignment.
