What You'll Do
- Conduct patient safety checks, room checks, and shift hand-offs to help maintain a safe and supportive environment.
- Support admissions by assisting with belongings searches, documentation, orientation, and welcoming new patients to the facility.
- Build positive relationships with patients while supporting meals, groups, recreational activities, and community interactions.
- Assist nursing staff with vitals, breathalyzers, urine drug screens, pulse oximetry, and other competency-based procedures.
- Observe and communicate changes in patient behavior, mood, or safety concerns to the treatment team.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and use de-escalation and crisis-intervention techniques when needed.
- Follow infection-control, hand-hygiene, and biohazard-safety practices.
- Partner with nursing, clinical, and case-management teams to reinforce individualized treatment goals and care plans.
- Model professionalism, healthy boundaries, compassion, and recovery-focused behaviors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; coursework or a degree in behavioral health or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, healthcare, human services, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience providing direct support or service to clients, patients, or customers strongly preferred.
- Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification.
- Good driving record that meets company safety and insurance requirements.
- QMAP, CNA, MA, Certified Behavioral Health Technician (CBHT), Mental Health Technician Certification (MHTC), or trauma-informed care training/certification preferred-or willingness to obtain applicable credentials.
- Strong communication, observation, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and remain calm and compassionate in challenging situations.
- Commitment to treating every patient with dignity, respect, and empathy.
