SUMMARY OF JOB:

Performs a wide variety of duties to help meet the pharmaceutical needs of the organization and its patients focusing on management of oncology patients. Works as part of a multidisciplinary oncology team to insure that oncologic pharmacologic therapies are clinically appropriate and accurately prepared. Will participate in IRB approved drug protocols as part of cancer initiatives and will maintain proficiencies in area of specialty by participating in ongoing education..Provides medication/chemotherapy -related information to physicians, staff, and patients. Responsible to actively lead and direct, comprehensive oncology  pharmaceutical care to the patients of the Holy Redeemer Health System (HRHS), in compliance with legal, regulatory and professional standards. 

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prior experience in an acute care hospital or healthcare system preferred
  • Prior experience as an Oncology Pharmacist with minimum experience of 2 years preferred
  • Ability to work rotating day & evening shifts, including weekends and holidays
  •  Residency Training and/or Board Certification in Oncology (BCOP) is highly desired

 

LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with an entry-level pharmacy degree (B.Sc. or Pharm.D.)
  • Pennsylvania pharmacist licensure in good standing (or eligibility for licensure)
